Smith & Wesson makes a fine gun in their M&P 45 in .45 ACP! Our WINNER this week gets to take this gun home for keeps!

Tea Party Patriot meeting Thursday, be there...
8/12/2010

...By Ken Campbell

I have said it before and I will say it again, we cannot count on the Republican Party to stop the Obama agenda and repeal Obamacare. We know what happened last time Republicans were in control. If the Republicans take control of Congress in November, "We the people" will need to be there to give the Republicans a spine. The Tea Party Patriots will help provide that spine.

200 to 300 people show up at the Auburn Tea Party Patriots meeting-- people who will not compromise on fiscal responsibility, limited Constitutional government and the free market... people who want their country back. Thursday night, August 12, 2010, Sam Paredes will be the guest speaker. Sam will tell us how effective the Tea Party has been here in California, and he will give us direction for the next 84 days.

Please come and check out the meeting, information is below:

No lead?

No lead?
8/9/2010

By Hasso Hering

The federal Environmental Protection Agency has received a petition to ban lead in hunting ammunition and fishing tackle, and Oregon wildlife officials are watching with some concern.

Also worried are people in the shooting sports.

?This is a serious issue for anyone who likes to target practice, shoot for fun or enjoy hunting, and will be a huge impact on shooting ranges across the nation,? said Mike McCarter, range master of the Albany Rifle and Pistol Club, which maintains a range at Saddle Butte east of Shedd.

Long Gun Registration Bill Sent to Suspense.....
8/3/2010

Monday, August 2, 2010, the bill known as the Long Gun Registration bill, AB 1810, was sent to the suspense file of the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Many bills that need money to implement were also sent to suspense that day, which ostensibly gives the Committee time to evaluate the money situation in the state, then decide which bills to pass and which to let lie in suspense and then die.

The Committee has until August 13 to pass out any bills that take money to operate.

GOC has noted that gun bills that take money are usually priority for the anti-gun power brokers in the legislature. It is as if passing anti-gun bills is more important than using the states? money wisely, or being frugal and cutting the spending.

AB 1810 seeks to register all newly sold or newly transferred rifles and shotguns and their purchasers into a data base, to be kept by the DOJ for indefinite periods of time....years, decades, generations, eons...perhaps, for the purposes of investigating in the future.

GOC is working diligently by providing to the Committee information as to the unintended and unforeseen costs of the bill, to see that AB 1810 does not come out of suspense.

Studdard: Hide your guns! Second amendment under assault

By James Studdard

Bubba's wife, Hillary Clinton, has recently announced that the Obama administration will lend its co-operation (political speak for "sign the proposed "UN's Small Arms Treaty) in a global effort to effect gun control by registration and/or confiscation of firearms owned by private citizens. This includes semi-automatic weapons and, though I haven't confirmed this, it also includes single action revolvers.

The treaty's ostensible goal is to help in the fight against "terrorism, insurgency and international crime syndicates," according to Congressman Paul Broun, (R-Ga). Let us test the President's motives for gun control in an historical flashback.
