Blue Wave? Red Wave? We’re Gunning for a 2nd Amendment Wave

Blue wave – red wave? How about a 2nd Amendment wave? That’s what GOC is working towards.

Gun Owners of California jumped into the political combat zone in 1975, and we’ve been fighting non-stop for our constitutional rights ever since.  We believe the 2nd Amendment was adopted by our founders to guarantee a way of protection for one’s self, family and country against the dangers of a broken world – which is becoming more fractured with each day.

This is exactly why we all need to VOTE.

Abraham Lincoln said that “Elections belong to the people. It’s their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters.”

No one wants a blistered butt – nor do we want some elitist politician telling us what we can and can’t do, especially when it comes to personal firearm ownership.  Check out these cartoons – both of which are pretty representative of how the typical gun owner is characterized – we are portrayed as caricatures – as part of some loony fringe movement – or as a terrorist.  Neither are close to being accurate, but that doesn’t matter to an overly zealous media that seems more eager to stir up fear than facts.

So, what can the average person do about the political onslaught of the left?  We can make sure their universe of influence is limited, and we do that by voting.  It’s simple: the less of them in office reduces their platform.  As voters, we can be the kryptonite in their goal of disarming the law abiding (and if you don’t think that’s what they are all about, then you can stop reading now because you drank their Kool-Aid).

We get it though – who doesn’t want to tune out these days?  We live in an amazing country that’s turned into a festering mess of malcontents who want to undermine every good thing we enjoy as Americans.  That’s why being armed and informed is critical: voting without having the knowledge of who is for us and who is against us is tantamount to putting your guns on your doorstep with a sign that says “free – come get ‘em.”.

Predictions on voter turnout and election results are all over the map and we would be fools to believe any of them. This year especially, races throughout the country are going to be tighter than ever before, so we must act as if each vote is worth a million bucks and leave nothing to chance.  There are countless examples of races that have either been won or lost by very small margins – even here in California.  In 2014 alone, two incumbents were defeated by a margin of roughly two votes per precinct.  Former Attorney General Kamala Harris won her statewide seat by the same puny margin in 2010, which meant her race couldn’t officially be decided until four weeks after Election Day.  It happens across the country – in 2008, a House race in Alaska was decided by just one vote, and in 2006, an Oklahoma Statehouse seat was won by 2 votes.   Two recounts finally decided the Washington gubernatorial race in 2004 – by a mere 133 votes.  The winners in each of these races surely believe that every vote counts.

The March for Our Lives kid-train has hit battleground congressional districts throughout the country, working to get out the anti-gun voters.  That’s why every single one of us needs to make certain our pro-gun family, friends and co-workers make it to the polls.  Impress upon them the importance of voting – not just for the sake of saying they exercised this privilege, but because they understand what’s at stake, and because they believe collectively, our voices can be the difference between winning and losing.

Contrary to liberal propaganda, this is not an issue of Republican or Democrat.  It’s an issue of whether you believe in the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution.

We have an enormous voting block at our fingertips, and we must waken the sleeping giant that lives in our state.  If every gun owner in California were actively engaged, there is no question that we could change the face of the California legislature and stem the assault on our liberties. We have absolute, hard-core evidence that pro-gunners have made the difference in tight elections, and we refuse to waste any opportunity in 2018.  What happens when we choose to do nothing?

We are going to be sitting on an awful lot of blisters.

Disarming the populace is not one tiny step to Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot. It’s the first step Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot took to ensure that no one would be able to oppose their dictatorships and the genocides that they were planning.

Voting is a RIGHT for Americans, not a mere privilege, as was stated in the above post. EM

    See partial excerpt above:

“Impress upon them the importance of voting – not just for the sake of saying they exercised this ‘privilege,’ but because they understand what’s at stake, and because they believe collectively, our voices can be the difference between winning and losing.”

The ONLY REASON communism existed is BECAUSE OF monarchies and dictatorships ! The only reason they do not use capitalism is to discourage and starve out the bloodsucker parasites monarchy and dictatorship are. When something would (AKA)choose communism, you can now understand the words tyranny and parasite because that is what a monarchy or dictatorship is !

RE: Pol Pot. Cambodia was one of three countries that were part of French Indochina. The French gun control laws were in place prior to the 1954 defeat that lead to North and South Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia (Khmer Republic). The result was similar to the Weimar Republic gun control law (in response to Communist and Nazi violence) that paved the way for the Holocaust.
