Legislative Jello and the Wisdom of Mark Twain…

Working the halls of the Capitol is like playing tennis with Jello.  You might make contact but you still get slimed in the process!  We at GOC aren’t afraid to get a little – or a lot messy as we battle against those who are so insulated from reality that we call them firearm fraidy-cats.

Indeed, both SB 347 and SB 707 made it off the Appropriations Suspense File and are on their way to a vote before the full Assembly.   And, unless the Democrats have some irregular attack of conscience – or good sense, both bills will likely be on the Governor’s desk by the time session adjourns on September 11.

At times like this, it’s important to recall the words of Mark Twain when he said “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.”

There’s a lot of fight left in the dogs at GOC, and we will continue to pound hard – with members of the Legislature, in the Governor’s Office, and most importantly, in the elections.

Watch for upcoming details as 2016 rolls ever closer.  We’re gonna need your help!  Stay tuned.
