**This means that the Legislature adjourns until the next legislative session. Sine die is Latin for "without day", which means "without assigning a day for a further meeting or hearing".

**This is the last day for the Governor to sign or veto bills that were passed by the Legislature before September 1st and were in the Governor's possession on or after September 1st.

**This is the last day for either the State Senate or the State Assembly to pass bills, except bills that take effect immediately or bills in Extraordinary Session.
