Fyock vs City of Sunnyvale

The City of Sunnyvale has instituted a blatantly unconstitutional ban on “high capacity magazines”, not even leaving an exemption for off-duty law enforcement.  This dangerous law would create criminals upon the crossing of their boarders, and Gun Owners of California strongly disapproves.

Our good friends at Michel and Associates filed a lawsuit against the City and it’s Mayor on December 16, 2013, stating that this ordinace violates the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution.

Gun Owners of California views this court case with confidence and hope that the courts will rule in our favor, given the outright violation of our Second Amendment rights.  We will continue to keep you updated as our involvement in this case progresses.

As always, lawsuits such as this do not come free.  We encourage gun owners to consider contributing to Gun Owners of California in order to continue to fund our lobbying and elections operations, as well as to assist in existing and future lawsuits.  For more information on contributing the GOC, please click here.
