PUT THE BLAME WHERE IT’S DUE: Not on us…

Ever since the heart-wrenching atrocity in Orlando, the airwaves, print and social media have been fiery-hot with commentary – GOC included.  And boy, has there been a lot of finger-pointing.

Quoting from Greg Gutfeld of the Fox News Channel, the New York Times blamed Republicans for Orlando. The Huffington Post blamed Christians. Every liberal blames guns, as well as the complicit wife of the murderous, terrorist dirtbag. And the dirtbag’s dad blames social networks.…”

Self-proclaimed as “the most depressing article you will ever share” –  it should be mandatory reading for anyone eager for an accurate snapshot of this “alternate reality” we’re living in.  And an alternative reality it is.  Truth is fiction and fiction has become truth.

The bottom line is, if we are really serious about changing anything, we have to tell it like it is – and tell it boldly. We have to be 100% honest about what’s staring us in the face.

That’s one of the many differences between “us” and “them” – the left’s astounding refusal (or is it just plainignorance) to look truth in the eyes without blinking is beyond comprehension.  They are afraid of some bizarre boogeyman of their own making – part political party, part religion and part inanimate object.  BOO!game-asset-call-1296507_960_720

It’s the elephant in the room they don’t want to see.
It’s the $64,000 question they don’t want to answer.
It’s the log in their eye they refuse to remove so they can see what’s right before them.

But we’re not ‘fraidy cats at GOC.  Thus, we will continue to enthusiastically to shine a spotlight on those who confidently stand with us to tell the truth.  Read Greg Gutfeld’s bold take on things here, and for a terrific example of fearless honesty on the House Floor (yes, we have some heroes there), watch Congressman Tom McClintock in his open rebuke:

“They would have us believe that terrorists who are bent on destroying our country by savagely killing Americans will somehow make one exception to their contempt for our nation by meticulously obeying our gun control laws.
The leftists tell us to leave it to the police.  Really?  In Orlando, it took more than three hours for police to secure the scene and confront the attacker, while hostages were being shot and the wounded were left to bleed to death.  Three hours.  In San Bernardino, the terrorists had already fled before police even arrived at the scene.
The first line of defense against an armed terrorist is an armed American….”

But wait – in this chaotic, absurdly political war of words and policy, we must never forget the victims.  A grieving father, whose personal loss cannot be measured, is not afraid to address the devastation that befalls an unarmed society.

“After seeing the Paris massacre last year, I thought, ‘If only one of the intended victims in that large crowd had been armed, many lives could have been saved.’ I also thought, this couldn’t happen in America, because surely, somebody in a large crowd like that would be armed, in the U.S. Wrong, history has repeated itself right here and my son and 51 others were slaughtered like helpless cattle, precisely because nobody in that club had a weapon to shoot back with.
The killer was armed and his helpless victims were not, yet the anti-gun politicians still want to disarm the populace, enabling these scenarios.”

Mark Bando’s son faced the madman in Orlando.  His son is dead. His personal grief makes a bigger statement that we ever could, as he underscores the significance of being armed.

There is no mystical boogeyman out there.  It’s real.  But it’s not the Republicans, it’s not Christians and it’s not any gun group out there, although we’ve taken some pretty nasty hits that say otherwise.  And it most certainly is not an inanimate object.

A nice, concise piece of writhing. I admire the courage of Mr. Brando.. How hard it must be for him to lose his son to that truly evil maniac. My heart goes out to him and to all the other victims, survivors, family and friends. I’m so sorry for his (and all of their) loss. His bravery in speaking the truth in the face of this horrible tragedy is so incredibly inspiring. We should all be so courageous, eloquent and educated. Thank you to Mr. Brando and the GOC. Keep fighting the fight! Resist tyranny, stay strong and safe. God bless America.
